OK, so Christmas was awhile ago! But Stacey and I wanted to share some VERY random shots from our trip to D.C. to visit Stacey’s mom for the holiday. You’d think pictures of D.C. would include, well…. monuments and such. Instead, a Gresham christmas involves subways, big rooms and Kermit the Frog. Here’s some of my favorites…

One of the first nights in town, we hit up Old Ebbit Grill, a D.C. staple…

Then it was off to the Library of Congress to finally get my LOC Library Card…

The amazing covered courtyard was a photographer’s dream come true. Talk about some awesome natural, perfectly diffused, light! I’m sneaking in one of Stacey and I hope she doesn’t kill me!

awesome view from the LOC second story…

this room at the National Portrait Gallery used to be the largest in America…. ok

expensive stuff at the Portrait Gallery…

Someday, we will live in a city with a subway system….I love traveling by metro!

We stopped by the National Cathedral, for about 15 minutes since they were closing…

For all you photographers out there….. 1/60th of a second, f/2.8, 25600 ISO…. love my D3.

I’m a history buff, but Kermit was still my favorite at the Museum of American History…..I guess I’m more of a Muppet buff!

And one shot on our way home from the Smithsonian…

  1. Kricia Morris Photography Beautiful shots as always...I love ya'lls editing style! If you ever need a groupie/bag carrier/coffee grabber, keep me in mind! :) I'm going to miss stalking ya'll when I move to Hawaii in May!

  2. Brandon Thanks Ann Marie! Yeah, it'd be nice not to have to fight rush hour traffic every morning.....maybe someday Birmingham will have better mass transit, but for now I'd rather walk than ride one of our buses! :-)

  3. Ann Marie Leveille Love the DC pics! We really would love to live in a city with a Metro too one day...it would make life easier in my opinion! :)
