If there’s one person on this planet who has studied photography, design and inspiration blogs more than Stacey … it’s Amanda. In fact, way back when, she was the one that got Stacey addicted to them in the first place. :-)

We’ve known Amanda for a couple of year now, and felt so privileged when she and Justin asked us to photograph their wedding day! That said, knowing how great of an eye she has for good photography … the pressure was definitely on.

The ceremony was held at our favorite little downtown church … Third Presbyterian Church. (You might remember it from Jennifer and Justin’s wedding about this time last year.)

When you think an outdoor rooftop reception in downtown Birmingham, Amanda and Justin’s location was the perfect location. They partied until late in the night on top of the Kress Building, overlooking the Alabama Theatre and the heart of downtown!

We were so thankful to Justin and Amanda, for putting up with the wonderful Alabama heat, and our multiple requests for “a little” portrait time. They were willing to wade through the Sidewalk Film Festival crowd for pictures, and even offered to share some of the Mellow Mushroom pizza they grabbed in between the ceremony and reception!

Saturday was also special, because we got to spend it with a number of Stacey’s current and former coworkers in the physical therapy world. Every time Stacey’s photography and PT lives cross paths … it’s bound to be a good time!

We’ll have more from the Colorbooth later this week, but it was definitely full of “color” all night long …

Last, but definitely not least, we couldn’t finish this post without saying a huge thank you to Rachel … Amanda’s maid of honor and our good friend. She was a HUGE help behind the scenes, and hopefully doesn’t hate me to much for keeping her running most of the day! Not only was she Amanda’s leading lady … but also doubled as dog handler, personal stylist, Colorbooth monitor, and microphone stand … among many other things.
