Saturday brought some sketchy weather, and a beautiful wedding our way as we traveled down to Demopolis, Alabama for Beth and Clint’s gorgeous southern wedding! Thankfully, the nasty weather all but missed us … and left us with some killer shooting light for most of their wedding day! Beth and the girls got ready at a lodge some 20 miles outside of Demopolis, and it proved to be the perfect setting for a laid-back more of preparations.

Beth selected some gorgeous details for her day, including a ton of beautiful pieces from Etsy … such as her hair piece and garters. She picked her gown from Ivory and White, and complimented it with florals from Maison de Fleur in Demopolis.

The couple brought in Meghan from M. Elizabeth Events to help put the entire day together, and it was a true pleasure to spend the day alongside her staff! The cakes were designed by Barb’s Cakes (note the awesome Etsy cake topper), and the food was put together by Joyce’s Catering out of Selma.

Beth and Clint were so kind to let us shoot for a good while with them on the day, and I’m so excited with how the portraits are coming out from their day! We spent time around their church, Trinity Episcopal Church of Demopolis, and also headed down to the river for awhile before the ceremony. The reception was held at Lyon Hall in downtown Demopolis, and to be honest, don’t think we’ve ever shot at a building with as much character and old southern charm as this one! From the original wood floors, to the old wooden doors and decor … Lyon Hall was a photographers dream come true. :-)

The newlyweds danced the night away to the music of Black Jacket out of Tallahassee, Florida, and ended the night leaving under the stars and wedding wands!

To Beth and Clint, thank you so much for having us as part of your beautiful wedding day! We were so grateful for the opportunity to document this amazing moment in your lives, and can’t wait to show you the full set of proofs! In the meantime … here’s a “couple” of early favorites …

And yes, the infamous Colorbooth was rocking the reception! Stay tuned for more pictures from the craziness!
