Abi and Casey | The Day After

Abi and Casey’s wedding day was perfect. Family and friends traveled from all around to enjoy an intimate ceremony and reception with this fun couple. Stacey and I had a blast shooting with them at the Tutwiler Hotel downtown, but got interrupted by an ugly thunderstorm.

We knew we had some great shots on the big day, but to our own fault, Stacey and I are perfectionists … so we nagged Abi and Casey into shooting a day after session with us! Just to put the icing on the cake. Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with the results! A big “thank you” to the two of you for indulging us one more time!

Jennifer and Andrew | The Wedding

What an amazing day we got to spend with Jennifer and Andrew yesterday! Cool summer temperatures and a laid-back couple made for some of our favorite images so far this season! Jennifer and Andrew’s relaxed personalities really showed throughout their big day, from their portraits to the details at the reception.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Holy Cross Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Birmingham. Talk about a building with character! The cathedral itself is stunning, yet intimate enough for everyone to enjoy the ceremony. I absolutely love the traditions of Greek Orthodox ceremonies, and they really provide for some unique images!

Jennifer and Andrew’s bridal party flew in from all over the country, which translated into a blast of a reception that went the distance at just over four hours. Yet another amazing part of the wedding was some awesome dancing, especially from Jennifer’s brother and a chair … see below :-)

Thank you to Jennifer and Andrew for letting us shoot away on your big day, for sneaking out of the reception for some amazing sunset shots, and for allowing us to help you celebrate the start of your life together!

The progress continues! We’re closing in on 150 pounds, and I’m thinking, how awesome would it be if we could hit 200 by week 20?! Needless to say, the big winner this week was the wonderful Kricia Morris, who lost a whopping six pounds in seven days!

OK, so here’s where we stand:

In total, we’ve lost 145.5 pounds. Keep it up folks!
