I knew from the moment we started shooting Brittany and Jess’s engagement session last fall that we were in for a treat! They’re truly one of the most photogenic couples you’ll ever meet … mixing some darn good natural looks with laid back attitudes to give us a photographer’s dream come true. :-)
Their wedding was packed full of great moments. From an emotional first look at Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, to a gorgeous fireworks display over downtown Birmingham at The Club, wonderful photo opportunities were never hard to find!
Brittany got ready with all of her bridesmaids and mother at her house only a block away from the church, while Jess and the guys enjoyed a couple of games of NCCA football on the PS3 before we started portraits. Some light showers and 100-degree temperatures didn’t make things easy on us during portraits, but Brittany and Jess … along with all the folks in the bridal party … were so gracious in allowing us to drag them around for pictures in some serious heat! Brittany’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous red dresses from J-Crew, and all the girls had their makeup done by Tabitha Boyd.
Receptions at The Club are always a gorgeous occasion, and Saturday’s definitely didn’t disappoint! The food was put together by the talented folks at The Club, including a stunning sushi bar. The cakes were courtesy of Olexa’s, and were delicious as always!
It goes without saying that the dance portion of Brittany and Jess’ wedding was epic. They hired a Tuscaloosa-favorite, Azz Izz, for the musical entertainment … and they had no problem getting folks to dance late into the night! Any band that has the range of Lil’ Wayne to Marvin Gaye is gold in our book. :-)
Many thanks to Brittany, Jess and your families for allowing us to be part of this wonderful day in your lives! While you chill on a beach in the Caribbean, we wanted to show you some highlights from their day …
