One of the parts of being a photographer that I absolutely love is getting to shoot a bunch of amazing events in various stages of people’s lives! Just about every weekend Stacey and I have the honor to capture some amazing moments from our clients’ wedding day. But this past Sunday I also had the opportunity to shoot another big milestone for 249 people … their graduation from Birmingham-Southern College.

The shoot wasn’t without it’s challenges, as shooting at Boutwell Auditorium in downtown Birmingham is similar to shooting in a closet with a busted light bulb. Apologies in advance for the image quality! Nevertheless, it was an amazing day of accomplishment for some VERY smart people, and I felt privileged to be a part of their big moment!

Here’s a few of my favorites from the ceremony …

Here’s Charisma, by far one of the best work studies and spur-of-the-moment models at BSC, picking up her graduate info card …

The faculty prepping for the processional …

Then it was the students’ turn …

BSC Professor Dr. Natalie Davis delivered the rare occurrence of a commencement address that was actually interesting! :-)

Headed on stage to make the big walk …

Congrats class of 2009!
