We’ve been waiting for Ross and Christine’s wedding day for what seems like forever. When in fact, it’s been less than nine months since we first got their submission for our fourth Free Wedding Photography Contest. But ever since our first meeting for their engagement session last fall, Stacey and I have been so anxious to travel to Savannah and document their big day!
The big day finally came this past weekend, and after shooting Clark and Andrew’s nuptials on Saturday, we hopped in the car and drove overnight to the gorgeous Savannah, Georgia for their “I Do’s”. This was our first time to Savannah, and we were more than a little happy that Ross and Christine gave us a TON of time to photograph with them, their bridal party and family during the day! We jumped on and off their personal trolly for a few hours grabbing pictures down by the river, in Forsyth Park, and in front of some gorgeous old Southern architecture.
One of the more amazing parts of the day, was the fact that a little tropical storm called “Beryl” was supposed to be dumping a ton of rain on Savannah. And yet, from the moment we stepped out of their hotel we felt maybe three sprinkles the entire day!
Christine and Ross’ ceremony and reception was held at Savannah Station, a wonderful old warehouse building on the outskirts of Savannah’s downtown district that’s been converted into a gorgeous event space. After a wonderful ceremony conducted by Christine’s father, the newlyweds danced the night away before leaving under the light of sparklers, and taking a ride to their hotel in style … a pedicab. :-)
We’re so grateful to Christine and Ross, for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful moment in their lives. It was truly a pleasure to spend a little bit of time with you and your family and friends! Here’s just a select few of our many favorites from your amazing day …
