On the rare occasion, Stacey and I will stray away from our slew of wedding and portrait posts to show a little personal work. This is one such occasion. :-)

Last month we joined up with our good friends John and Kara, and jetted across the Pacific for a much-needed vacation to gorgeous Hawaii. This was a first for all of us, and we opted to stay away from the traditional “touristy” vacation. We rented a house on the North Shore of Oahu, in the most secluded area we could find via online travel planning. Needless to say … it was perfect.

Comfy, modern house, our own private beach, sea turtles, and a soak in the hot tub every evening. It was exactly what we needed to recharge the batteries after 40 weddings in 2010. During the day, we ventured all over the island and partook in hiking, eating, sailing, snorkeling, surfing, eating, boogie boarding, sleeping, and eating.

We’re going to have a few posts coming up showing a little bit of the trip. This post, however, we dedicated to the film we shot during the trip. Of the images below, 99.9 percent were shot by my lovely wife … except of course for the select few that she actually appears in. :-) So here’s a little look at our trip to the islands. Thanks in advance for looking, and we promise we’ll get back to regularly scheduled programming ASAP!

P.S. – These are in no particular order, and are a complete mish mash of the entire trip put together. If you’re looking for a storyline, call me and I’ll walk you through it. :-)
