From the moment we met Paige and started talking about the details for her wedding day, Stacey and I were so excited to work with her and Drew! She was so excited to talk about all the details surrounding their engagement and wedding day. And the more the plans developed, the more we anticipated documenting the big moment!
But not everything about Paige and Drew’s big day went according to plan. In the months leading up to the wedding Paige’s father passed away, as did Drew’s grandmother. And nearly a month to the day before May 28, a massive tornado tore through the little down of Oak Grove, destroying houses and causing serious damage to their church.
When Saturday game, however, Paige and Drew were committed to celebrating and enjoying their wedding day … and in the end, it was the perfect day given the circumstances. Paige looked stunning in her gown, and was one of the most graceful brides we’ve ever photographed. Drew was handsome alongside his groomsmen in their tan suits, and even the tornado damage to trees and buildings didn’t keep us from finding a nice place to shoot portraits before the ceremony!
The reception was held at the home of a friend of Paige’s father. It was gorgeous. Paige and Drew danced by the pool while their guests cheered, cut the wedding cake underneath a beautiful crystal chandelier, and sipped on homemade strawberry, peach, and grape wine … made especially for them on their wedding day.
We were so grateful that these two gave us plenty of time for portraits, and we couldn’t wait to show some of the results! Here’s just a few from Paige and Drew’s big day ….
