Will and Rachel have been so kind to us! From bringing us up to New York for their engagement session (Post I, Post II), to inviting us to be part of the wedding weekend festivities, not just as their photographers, but as friends …. they truly made our job ridiculously easy!

Their ceremony was held at the wonderful little Virginia Samford Theatre in downtown Birmingham, while the reception took place at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover. Rachel and Will worked extremely hard on treating their guests, many who weren’t from the South, to a truly amazing weekend. The rehearsal dinner on Saturday night was held at Dreamland BBQ, with guests being serenaded by a Birmingham music staple … Rollin’ in the Hay.

You can tell from the pictures, that Rachel’s look stole the show. She was stunning, elegant, and modern, all at the same time. (We even had a couple of comparisons to Betty Boop … and their might have been a small impersonation. But no one will ever know for sure!)

Enough talking though! Here’s a quick sneak peak at some of our favorites from the day …

Some beautiful details …

The first dance was a thing to behold! Rachel and Will had worked hard on perfecting it and nailed it without a single slip!

Then it was on to some traditional Jewish dances! What we learned from shooting this wedding, is in order to get good shots of these fast-paced, movement-filled dances, we generally have to move along with everyone else …. We also learned that this isn’t as easy as it sounds!

OK, so are we not the luckiest wedding photographers ever?! Meet three of our gorgeous brides and bride-to-be … Miranda (getting married next year), Rachel, and Eden (2008). These three all have AMAZING singing voices, which we had the chance to enjoy during the rehearsal dinner the night before!

  3. Mom Susan To my beautiful children: I've never seen a more glamorous couple, a more loving couple, a happier couple than you two. The pictures are spectacularly fabulous, and even though I'm not a photographer, I'm betting that subjects like you make the job easy. Dad and I are proud of you both, and we're both glowing with joy from the magical wedding weekend. Having such brilliant photos is the perfect ending! Love and jugs and kisses, Mom Susan and Dad Steve
