We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off 2011 than with Sarah and Greg’s wedding day.
OK, so maybe a little less rain would have helped … but when you’ve got Sarah’s contagious laugh, and Greg’s fun-loving personality, not even a 100-percent chance of 1-2 inches of utter downpour could keep us from getting some great images!
We shot their prep time and the bridal party portraits prior to the wedding at the oh-so-lovely Sonnet House, before heading over to the church for the ceremony. I’m so in love with Stacey’s portraits of Sarah before the wedding. They’ve got a relaxed elegance to them that only Sarah could pull off.
After the ceremony it was back to the Sonnet House for a grand party, courtesy of some of Birmingham’s best wedding vendors. The folks at Hot and Hot Fish Club catered dinner, and in addition to their wedding cake and desserts, Sarah and Greg brought in ice cream from their favorite ice cream spot … the Pied Piper Creamery in Nashville. And not even a slightly flooded tent could keep folks off the dance floor, very much in part to the ladies and gentlemen from Brother 2 Brother, who never cease to amaze us with their energy and musical talent. Last, but definitely not least, the flowers and decor were put together by Janet and Ray from Flower Buds.
Sarah and Greg embraced their rainy wedding day, and made it memorable for everyone. We felt so blessed to be part of this moment in their lives, and couldn’t have asked for a more fun-loving couple to shoot! Here’s a couple of early favorites from their big day …
