It’s just unbelievable.

Seriously, we can’t stop watching the news coverage, online videos, and picture blogs covering the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Watching families being torn apart, lives being turned upside down or completely destroyed, and people suffering from something completely out of their control is beyond heartbreaking.

Having watched the scene in Japan unfold over the past few days, Stacey and I started to feel helpless. Realistically, what could we do from here in Birmingham? Then we realized we weren’t thinking straight. Seriously! We’ve got pictures! :-)

So here’s the deal. We’re auctioning off five one-hour photo sessions on eBay, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to earthquake and tsunami relief via GlobalGiving. We’re asking a starting price of $100, which is well below our $500 session fee. (Meaning …. you’re likely going to get one heck of a deal.)

Above all, we’re hoping people will bid on these auctions with the people of Japan in mind. This isn’t about pretty pictures or some nice family keepsakes. It’s about helping out where we can … and we’d love to have you be part! You can see all the info and bid on the auctions here.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions, and feel free to email me at brandon [at]

Lastly, even if you don’t want to bid on one of the sessions … PLEASE … do something to help. Whether it’s $10, $100, or $1000 … every little bit will help out the folks suffering in Japan. For more information on ways to help, check out these sites:
