I caught myself more than once on Saturday once looking at the back of my camera and asking, “Did I really just get this?”

Tara and Sam are ridiculously photogenic, and they made our weekend up in Florence a breeze to shoot from beginning to end! We started Friday off at a gorgeous rehearsal dinner at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club, followed the next morning by some golfing with the guys at The Shoals Golf Club, and spent the entire wedding day at one of Robert Trent Jones’ most gorgeous locations.

There’s no denying how hot it was on Saturday. But thankfully, we were working with a bride, groom, and wedding party that were more than willing to brave the heat for some outdoor portraits. Going through the images from the big day, it looks like it was gorgeous weather. But a quick look at the thermometer would tell you it was well over 100 degrees at ceremony time. Tara and Sam took it in stride, and turned a hot Alabama afternoon into a gorgeous wedding ceremony with family and friends.

One of my favorite moments from the entire day, was having the chance to head up to a hilltop overlooking the Tennessee River, the course, and the clubhouse. We could hear the music from the string quartet and laughter from the guests, and also enjoyed a beautiful sunset while shooting some portraits of the newlyweds!

To Tara and Sam, thank you so much for inviting us to this amazing moment in your lives. We’re so thankful for the time you gave us to document what a beautiful couple you are!
